What Make Us Unique

How can our Center help you to ensure the nightmare that happened to Dave in the above Case Study does not happen to you?

  • Our First Appointment is Free and you meet with our pre surgical Physician, Dr. Hitner. Dr. Hitner has had a hair transplant himself and is intimately familiar with all aspects of hair transplants. Feel free to ask his all your questions.

During the first appointment, the physician will do a detailed scalp examination and a Trichology of your scalp, A trichologist is someone who specializes in hair-loss problems, such as baldness, hair breakage, and itchy, flaking scalp.

You will sit in front of a camera and screen while the staff will magnify your scalp 10,000 times and take a detailed look at your scalp, hair and areas of baldness and signs of disease. You can see it for your self on the giant screen.
  • Based upon the results the physician will most probably want to do a blood test. Make sure you bring your Health Insurance Card with yo as your insurance may cover the cost of some fo the testing.
  • You will come back to see they physician for a followup visit about one week later. Based upon the blood test results and to prepare you for the transplant, the physician may recommend antibiotics to avoid infection during the transplant, and a series of presurgical Intravenous Vitamin Injections or Supplements.
  • During the followup visit, the physician, Dr. Hitner, will discuss various options for hair transplants including FUT and FUE, and schedule you for your surgery.
  • The Surgery typically takes one full day and can either be done in the New York area at a cost of around $5-$8 per graft, or for $1.98 per graft overseas by Dr. Halder. These options can be discussed and finalized by you during your followup meeting with Dr. Hitner.
  • What to expect during the transplant?
    • Natural Looking: The surgeon will create a dense natural look by matching your existing hair line and facial structure to create a custom transplant and cover the bald spots.
    • Permanent: Once your healthy follicles are transplanted into the bald and thinning areas, your grafted hair will regenerate themselves and grow as they were from the donor areas. Grafts can be transplanted from the head as well as from beard, chest and other body areas
    • Fast Recovery: The hair restoration is a simple outpatient procedure. Bandages are removed on day two or three after the surgery. Most patients can go back to work once the bandages are removed.
    • Robotic Hair Transplants: Neograft and Artas are among the exciting new technologies available to surgeons. This state-of-the-art technology eliminates the guesswork and fatigue associated with manual handheld methods, along with the scarring, complications and downtime of existing invasive surgical techniques. Unlike older FUT transplant methods, no stitches are required, rendering your procedure nearly undetectable.

During the initial stage, hair is selectively harvested with robotic precision providing consistent graft dissection. Advanced robotics provide speed and harvesting accuracy unavailable with manual handheld techniques.

  • After the transplant, you will return home and then come into see Dr. Halder for a followup visit one week after the surgery, At that time, Dr. Halder will do another Trichology of your scalp to see how the grafts are holding, and possibly have you do a series of post surgery IV Vitamin drips to maximize your body’s ability to retain the grafts. He will instruct you how to care for your newly transplanted hair.
  • How to take care of your transplanted hair:

Follow the doctors instructions on how to shampoo and care for your hair. Your newly transplanted hair, like the rest of your hair, grows steadily over time. After a few months, you will begin to see new hair growth. Around six months, you will start to notice significant growth. Your hair will continue to grow in the treated areas over time. You will be able to take care of your newly transplanted, permanent hair as you normally would.

With this approach you will maximize the success of your hair transplant.
